Providing Drinking Water
A project to provide drinking water refrigerators for free water bottles for patients, outpatients, and visitors.
Target Group:
- All outpatients, visitors, and inpatients in King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (Riyadh – Jeddah – Medina)
- King Fahad National Centre for Children's Cancer and Research (KFNCCC&R) in Riyadh
Venue Scope:
- King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (Riyadh – Jeddah – Medina)
- King Fahad National Centre for Children's Cancer and Research (KFNCCC&R) in Riyadh
Financial Scope:
- The cost of water and operating are SAR 1,043,424 annually.
- The cost of purchasing 20 refrigerators is SAR 520,000.
Project Justifications:
- Many patients come directly to the hospital from outside Riyadh, so one of the simplest services is to provide free drinking water.
- Some types of radiology require patients to drink a lot of water, so we provide free drinking water so as not to burden patients to buy water, especially if they were of low income.
- Improve experiments on patients, outpatients, and visitors.
- Provide facilities to patients or outpatients during their presence in the hospital
- Promote community members' solidarity and cohesion.
Facts and Figures:
- 12 water box for each refrigerator per day.
- 264 water box for one refrigerator per month.
- 3,168 water box for one refrigerator per year.
- 480 water bottles for each refrigerator per day.
- 10,560 water bottles for one refrigerator per month.
- 126,720 water bottles for one refrigerator per year.
- We have (30) water refrigerators in all branches of King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre.
- 645,079 water bottles were provided in 2020.
- The number of beneficiaries amounted to 322,539 in 2020.
