Rehabilitation of patients with neurodegenerative diseases using alternative communication technologies to ensure better communication with the family, fulfill needs, achieve desires, encourage decision-making, and improve the quality of life in general.

Target Group:

Patients of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh who suffer communication disabilities due to neurodegenerative diseases of neural/muscular origin.

Project Justifications:

There are many patients with communication disabilities in King Faisal Specialist Hospital due to neurodegenerative diseases that affect their ability to communicate and make decisions, as well as life quality in general.

Facts and Figures:

  • The devices will be provided to five patients of the target group, and train their families to use them.
  • The price of one device is 53,175.072 SAR.
