Creating an appropriate environment for the treatment journey for children who are fighting cancer and putting a smile on their faces and bringing them joy.

Pediatric inpatients and outpatients with cancer in King Fahad National Centre for Children's Cancer and Research (KFNCCC&R).

Project Justifications:

  • Relieve the difficulty of the therapeutic phase on children with cancer by improving their psychological health and supporting them mentally and recreationally during their journey with treatment.
  • The lack of a hall of this capacity and capabilities at King Fahad National Centre for Children's Cancer and Research (KFNCCC&R).
  • The necessity to strengthen children’s mental health and increase their well-being during their presence in King Fahad National Centre for Children's Cancer and Research (KFNCCC&R).

Facts and Figures:

  • The Centre capacity is 400 beds with an occupancy rate of 100% throughout the year.
  • About 50,000 pediatric inpatients and outpatients visit the Centre every year.
