Establishing a Fund to Support Radiation Oncology Patients

Establishing a charitable fund to support non-Saudi patients who cannot cover the cost of radiotherapy, through strategic partnerships with charitable bodies and King Faisal Specialist Hospital International Holding Company — ensuring continuity of support and widening the service to the target groups.

• Improving the quality of service delivered to cancer patients.

• Enabling patients in need to receive radiotherapy at the right time.

• Activating partnership with the third sector (non-profit associations) to strengthen community impact.

• Helping to ease the financial burden on patients and their families.

• Closing the gap in health coverage for cancer patients in need.

• A number of non-Saudi cancer patients are uninsured or have exhausted their insurance cover, which prevents them from receiving the radiotherapy they need.

• Ensuring treatment continues without interruption, which improves the chances of recovery and the patient's quality of life.

• Helping to reduce the emotional, social and financial burden on patients and their families during treatment.

1. Preparing the work plan and identifying partner bodies.

2. Signing cooperation and support agreements.

3. Receiving and reviewing applications from patients.

4. Beginning treatment and following up cases.

5. Preparing regular reports on delivery and impact.

Non-Saudi cancer patients who are uninsured or have exhausted their insurance cover — around 10 patients a year, with scope to increase.
