Omnity “My Wish” Initiative

The King Faisal Specialist Hospital Charity Foundation “Wareef” seeks out distinctive initiatives, and in 2021 we launched the wish-granting initiative in cooperation with King Fahad National Centre for Children's Cancer — to bring relief to child patients, ease their suffering and work to grant their many and varied wishes, reflecting a small part of our team's spirit and enthusiasm in leaving a mark on the treatment journey of every patient in need of a glimmer of hope.

The initiative was developed for relaunch in 2022 under a new identity as a strategic project, after work to reach a larger number of patients, to cover different age groups, and to extend to all branches of King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre.

Target annual cost:

SAR 3,500,000 a year.

Location:

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (Riyadh – Jeddah – Madinah) and King Fahad National Centre for Children's Cancer.

Project rationale:

  • The need to strengthen children's emotional health and to enrich the recreational and psychological side of their stay at King Fahad National Centre for Children's Cancer, so that their treatment plan works better and their often gruelling treatment journey becomes easier.
  • Lifting the morale and spirits of children with cancer, which helps them recover faster.
  • Bringing delight and joy to the hearts of children with cancer.
  • Offering moral support to child patients.
  • Instilling hope of recovery in them and standing by their families.
  • Improving the experience of children with cancer by granting the wishes they dream of.
  • Making the treatment stage less difficult for the child by improving their emotional health and supporting them through the stages of treatment.
