Treatment and Happiness Cart
As part of treatment, and to bring a positive and cheerful spirit to inpatient and outpatient children receiving chemotherapy for various tumours, a cart will be provided with a joyful design suited to children. It will visit them during their difficult treatment day and hand out ice cream, juices, dairy products and light snacks.
Target group:
All paediatric patients, both outpatients and inpatients, at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre – Riyadh and King Fahad National Centre for Children's Cancer – Riyadh.

Financial scope:
SAR 1,100,000.
Project rationale:
- Children with cancer often feel intense heat during and after chemotherapy, and these products help them feel better and avoid that discomfort.
- There is a need to bring more positive spirit to the space and to lift the children's morale by surrounding them with a place that inspires optimism and joy.
Facts and figures:
- Around 80,000 children (outpatients and inpatients) will benefit from this cart each year.
