Terms & Conditions of Project Platform

Introduction:

This policy aims to establish a framework for the projects of Wareef Charity Foundation and for supporting them, helping the Foundation pursue its strategic objectives and meet the needs of its stakeholders across the hospital's departments and divisions. It does so through a set of registration steps and modern, dynamic and straightforward procedures and work models, delivered through the King Faisal Specialist Hospital Charity Foundation's launch of the Project Submission Platform, which receives projects and creative ideas and turns them into projects with real impact in serving patients and visitors.

Projects are assessed according to the following criteria:

Standard Projects

1 – Type of project and its overall objective: clarity of the overall objective – quality of the project – the department's/division's need for it (30) points.
2 – Project outputs: the presence of outputs – the target group for those outputs (20) points.
3 – Realistic costs: a clear breakdown of costs with price quotations where required (15) points.
4 – Follow-up: a defined project scope that makes the implementation stages easy to track (10) points.
5 – Number of beneficiaries of the project: (20) points.
6 – Volunteer participation: with clearly defined roles (5) points.

Distinguished Projects

1 – Project idea: distinctiveness of the objective – the hospital's need for it – the project's target group (30) points.
2 – The project's impact on King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre facilities (25) points.
3 – An annual plan and budget for the project (20) points.
4 – Number of beneficiaries of the project (20) points.
5 – Volunteer participation with clearly defined objectives (5) points.

Strategic Projects

1 – Type of project: distinctiveness of the project – its rarity – clarity of its overall objective (25) points.
2 – Project outputs: the presence of outputs – the target group for those outputs (20) points.
3 – The project's impact on King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre facilities (20) points.
4 – An annual plan and budget for the project (5) points.
5 – A feasibility study and realistic costs (10) points.
6 – Number of beneficiaries of the project (20) points.

Core conditions1 – The project must align with the objectives of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital &amp; Research Centre General Organization. <br> 2 – The project must align with the objectives of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital Charity Foundation "Wareef Charity". <br> 3 – The project must be submitted in the name of a department or division of King Faisal Specialist Hospital &amp; Research Centre at any of its branches in the Kingdom. <br> 4 – The views of the manager of the department, division or clinic submitting the grant request must be sought, and a project coordinator appointed by the requesting body for follow-up. <br> 5 – Projects are approved once the Charitable Activities and Programmes Committee has agreed to them.
Project conditions• The project must cost no more than (200) thousand riyals. <br> • The project must be closed within a maximum of one year from its start.• The project must cost no more than (500) thousand riyals. <br> • The project must take no less than one year and no more than 3 years to deliver.• The project must cost no less than (500) thousand riyals. <br> • A robust feasibility study must exist for the project.<br> • The project must take no less than one year and no more than 5 years to deliver.

How the Project Submission Platform works

    A grant request is created by the beneficiary and the hospital's departments

    The applicant completes all the details on the (Create a grant request) page, attaching their line manager's approval and a declaration that the details are correct. They then save, and then submit their request.

    Projects Director

    Completes the details and then sends them for technical assessment

  3. 3

    Programmes and Activities Committee

    The technical assessment is added and a choice made from the task list on the left of the page (within budget or outside budget, rejected, accepted, etc.)

    The Executive Committee

    To review all the details entered and then choose: - hold - return to the applicant - accept - reject

    The project manager completes the justifications, which are approved by the Projects Director and then sent for approval by the Chief Executive Alternatively they may be completed by the Projects Director directly

    Chooses either: return for approval of the justifications, or approve the contract
