Wareef Charity Launches a Stem Cell Donation Campaign at Hayat Mall

The King Faisal Specialist Hospital Charity Foundation (Wareef Charity) launched a stem cell donation campaign in cooperation with the haematology department at Hayat Mall.

Over the three days of the campaign, those wishing to join the stem cell registry were signed up, with around 900 registrations from visitors to Hayat Mall.

Stem cell donation helps many patients with blood cancer, lymphoma and other diseases, by matching those on the register with patients; the registered donor is then contacted to make the donation.

Through this campaign, Wareef Charity aims to reach 100,000 registrations by the start of the first quarter of 2019.

The plan for future stem cell registration campaigns will be announced in the period ahead.
