Wareef Charity Launches the Eshara Application

The King Faisal Specialist Hospital Charity Foundation “Wareef Charity” announced an initiative to support deaf and hard-of-hearing people at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh and Jeddah and at King Fahad National Centre for Children's Cancer, in cooperation with Elm, the leading digital solutions company and developer of the “Isharah app”. The announcement was attended by Dr. Majid bin Ibrahim Al-Fayyadh, Executive General Supervisor of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital General Organization, and Dr. Abdulrahman bin Saad Al-Judai, Chief Executive of Elm.

The app matters because it makes services fully inclusive for deaf and hard-of-hearing patients, visitors and guests of the hospital and eases their procedures, by providing a digital platform supporting video calls between them and a contact centre offering live remote sign language interpretation. This removes barriers to communication and supports deaf people's independence while keeping their information entirely private and confidential. Among the app's most important features is the ability for users to rate the service after each call, which allows “Wareef Charity”, in partnership with Elm, to keep improving the service and reach the highest possible satisfaction among the patients and visitors of King Faisal Specialist Hospital.

This cooperation between “Wareef Charity” and Elm on the app's services grew out of “Wareef Charity's” pursuit of its objective of providing aid to patients in need of such accessibility arrangements. It also sits within Elm's continuing commitment to delivering solutions that meet all its customers' needs, with the aim of providing an outstanding, complete experience.
