Wareef Charity Visits Health Associations Across the Kingdom
As part of joint cooperation and to strengthen collective efforts, the King Faisal Specialist Hospital Charity Foundation “Wareef Charity”…
The King Faisal Specialist Hospital Charity Foundation “Wareef Charity” held its first awareness campaign at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah, aiming to introduce its activities and programmes to the hospital's patients and staff.
The campaign ran for a week and was attended by Dr. Yasin Malawi, Executive Director General of King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah, along with a number of physicians and administrators. Staff and visitors learned about the Foundation's latest work, most notably the launch of the Kingdom's first endowment investment fund, the “Alinma Wareef Endowment Fund”.
Wareef Charity Foundation also launched the “Testing Without a Prick” project, through which 10 patients with diabetes received modern devices that measure blood sugar painlessly, by passing a reader over a sensor fitted to the patient's arm — sparing them the pain of a repeated prick at every reading.
It also launched the “Patient Transport” project in Jeddah, which allows the hospital's visitors to travel to and from the hospital with a 20% discount on the fare with Careem.
These efforts fall within Wareef Charity's mission of easing the burden on patients and their families.
